A cold blast will hit the Ozarks today, with precipitation likely. The day will start at a high of about 41 and fall throughout the day, with the temperature hitting 27 by 5 p.m.
Before the blast hits, however, Springfield will be having its annual Christmas Parade downtown. It will begin at 1 p.m. today at South and Elm.
- News-Leader: Greene County treasurer quits as ex-employee indicted. John Hoffman, who has been treasurer for the past 18 years, announced his immediate resignation yesterday. (Other coverage: KY3, KSMU, KSPR)
- KY3: Volunteers complete CASA training. Twenty-two people graduated from training for Court Appointed Special Advocates, a group that helps abused and neglected children in court.
- News-Leader: St. John’s received $8.1 million bonus. The Springfield hospital system was rewarded for achieving Medicare financial and care goals.
