A cold front currently will push south tonight and make it to roughly the MO-AR line. Lows will drop well into the 30s for central
Missouri, near 40 for southern Missouri, and mid 40s for Arkansas.
Friday will be sunny, with a high near 73 and a low around 51.
This front will move back north some on Friday as low pressure pushes toward the Ozarks from Kansas
A large range of temperatures is expected with some areas having a high close to 60 while others could hit 80.
As the area of low pressure moves in, Saturday well be mild but end up cool. There will be a
few showers perhaps, but insufficient moisture will prevent widespread rain. Cool weather will remain with us through early next week
- KSMU: Drury Names its 17th President. Drury’s next president Dr. David Manuel.Dr. Manuel is currently chancellor and economics professor at Louisiana State University in Alexandria. Before that he served as dean of the business school at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio.
- KY3: Amish man asks for safety upgrades to keep buggies safer. It’s a safety issue for slow moving vehicles, especially those with real live horse power. An Amish farmer Emanuel Y. Schwartz is concerned about his family and others traveling by buggy on a rural highway. Schwartz says there are few spots along Highway 38 that could cause serious accidents between buggies and faster moving vehicles..
- KSPR: Celebration will mark reopening of U.S. 60/65 interchange. A celebration of the new U.S. 60/65 interchange in southeast Springfield will take place late Thursday morning. Crews finished a major project to completely overhaul the interchange last month, spending more than $50 million on materials and labor.
