Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 52.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with the a high near 72 and a low around 49.

For the rest of the week, the weather remains the same mostly sunny, with a high in the 70s and a lows in the 50s.

A cold front moves in Thursday bringing a bit of cold air.  A run of the model on Saturday night shows SNOW possible, but

rain is predicted with a high in the 60s.

Today’s picks

  • OzarksFirst:Night of unity tonight to honor abuse victims. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Harmony House, along with the Gillioz Theatre in Springfield, is holding a “Night of Unity” to celebrate survivors of domestic abuse. There will be a reception with refreshments at the Gillioz at 6:00 p.m. tonight.  The theater is located at 325 Park Central East. Then at 6:30 p.m,  there will be a one act play written by local artist, Chelsea Russell. After the play there will be a candle light vigil to remember the victims of domestic abuse.
  • KY3: A Springfield priest blessed people’s pets in honor of the Feast of St. Francis. It was the annual blessing of the animals on Sunday. The event celebrates the Feast of St. Francis, who famously preached to the animals. People were invited to bring their pets to be blessed by a priest who said animals are spoken about throughout the Bible as necessary for life.
