Daily brief (9/26): Top picks from the Springfield media

Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76 and a low around 63.

Thunderstorms are possible about every 12 hours until late Friday.  The severe weather threat will diminish with time for Missouri.  Temperatures will be highly dependent on clouds and rainfall.  North temperatures will hold in the mid to upper 70s for the next few days.

The weekend is looking drier so rain chances will be removed for Saturday and Sunday. Looking ahead towards the weekend cooler air filters into the Ozarks and highs retreat to the low to mid 70s.
