Daily brief (9/14): Top picks from the Springfield media

Today is a 50 percent chance of rain, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69.

Friday night will bring a low around 56.

Cloudy conditions with isolated showers can be expected through the weekend with highs near 70 and lows around 58.
The weekend is looking wonderful as far as afternoon high temperatures are concerned but small chances for showers could be annoying to any outdoor plans.  The cooler weather and rain looks to stick around into next week!
