Daily brief (6/25): Top picks from the Springfield media

Expect a string of hot, dry days for the next week with temperatures dancing toward the 100-degree mark. No rain is in the forecast.

Today will be sunny and hot with a high near 98. The heat index could reach as high as 101. Tonight will be clear with a low of 68.

Tomorrow won’t be quite as hot, with a high of 93. But temperatures will jump back up toward 100 for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

  • KSMU: Board of Governors approves long-range plan for MSU-West Plains. A new long-range plan for Missouri State University-West Plains to last through 2016 has been approved. It reaffirms the university’s commitment to student engagement and its open-admissions policy for students in the area.
