  • KSPR: Pleasant View Fire District seeking tax increase. The Pleasant View Fire District is asking voters for a property tax increase from 30 cents to 80 cents per $100 valuation to pay for a new fire station and full-time staff.
  • News-Leader: Energy issues likely to be big part of campaign. Politicians for national office like Rep. Billy Long will be focusing on energy issues as part of this year’s campaign.
  • OzarksFirst: Hungerthon to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest. The 14th annual Hungerthon, co-sponsored by Alice 95.5 and Clear Channel, will raise funds for the Ozarks Food Harvest and its program to allows some students to take home a backpack full of food on weekends.
