Daily brief (2/2): Top picks from the Springfield media

Today will be another seasonably gorgeous day, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 62.

Rain chances enter the forecast tonight. A 40 percent chance of rain improves to 100 percent tomorrow. A thunderstorm is possible, and gusts of up to 29 mph will blow through the Ozarks. Up to three-quarters of an inch of rain is expected.

The rain should taper off and the winds should die down by Saturday, but the clouds will remain, and the high will be 55. Super Bowl Sunday will be partly sunny but cooler, with a more seasonable high of 44.
