Daily brief (6/4): Top picks from the Springfield media

Springfield’s weather forecast looks like a week of blistering suns.

Today will be much like the next few days: Sunny and hot, with a high of 93. A light breeze of 6-13 mph will help a little, but it will be a sticky one today.

Tomorrow will be the same, with a high of 93.

Joplin recovery

The curfew for Joplin has been lifted, and a meeting regarding debris removal has been scheduled for Monday. People can still help in many ways, as the recovery is expected to take months.

A “Songs For Joplin” concert is planned to benefit the tornado victims. The concert will be at 7 tonight at the Gillioz Theatre (325 Park Central East).
