  • News-Leader: Springfield Public Schools receives $3.5 million more than expected. A spike in revenues will allow the state’s third-largest district to increase its operating reserve, officials said Tuesday. (Other coverage: KY3, KSPR)
  • OzarksFirst [KOLR/KSFX]: Memories overflow as Solo plant closes. The  manufacturing plant, which has had many owners over the years, will halt production today. Solo announced the closing in June; 340 jobs will be lost locally. (Other coverage: KY3)
  • KSMU: New online system for hunting, fishing permits. Missourians may now buy permits for hunting, fishing, and trapping online.
  • OzarksFirst: National Avenue footbridge proposed at Missouri State. City engineers are examining the possibility of a footbridge across National by the university campus. A public meeting about the idea will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Springfield Art Museum.
