  • OzarksFirst (KOLR/KSFX): First Night lineup announced for New Year’s Eve. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and include 25 performances. Among the performers: Chris Sligh, a finalist from Season 6 of “American Idol.”
  • News-Leader: Midwife case leads to scrutiny of state laws. State law is unclear about certification of midwives, who assist women in having babies at home.
  • KY3: Drury graduate’s film part of Sundance Film Festival. Chris Beckman’s film “Oops” will be screened as part of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
  • KSPR: Missouri Senate asking for your ideas. The Missouri Senate has set up a website to hear citizen ideas about how to cut government spending.
