And another workweek comes to close. Today’s picks:

  • News-Leader: 7th District debates are on. All three candidates (Libertarian Kevin Craig, Democrat Scott Eckersley, and Republican Billy Long) have confirmed debates on Oct. 6, 7, and 19. (OzarksFirst also reported this story).
  • OzarksFirst (KOLR/KSFX): Dog breeders, animal rights activists clash over Proposition B. The proposed measure would regulate large-scale breeders in Missouri.
  • KY3: Nixa storm damage ruled tornado. The Thursday storm was considered an EF-0 tornado, the least intense type of tornado, according to the National Weather Service.
  • KSMU: Emergency officials encourage ‘supply kits.’ As the seasons change, local officials are encouraging residents to review their emergency supply kits at home in case of disaster.
