Today’s picks:

  • News-Leader: Results of secondhand smoke study to be released. Washington University on Wednesday will announce results of a study on secondhand smoke exposure at St. Louis bars and restaurants.
  • News-Leader: CU hikes, 2011 budget will go to council. The Springfield City Council will have a special meeting at noon Sept. 21 to consider a proposed three-year electric rate increase and City Utilities’ 2011 budget.

  • OzarksFirst (KOLR/KSFX): September sales tax revenues down for Springfield. The city reported a 1.35 percent decrease in sales tax for September, a dip less severe than the one in August.
